Before going live with any site, we go through rigorous testing with our 'Go-Live' Checklist. This ensures no stone is left unturned before we hit the launch button, mitigating errors post launch. Narrative driven illustration is a great way to build connections with consumers. Visual storytelling evokes emotions within your audience and establishes a relationship with them. It humanises your brand and promotes brand loyalty.

"Create a brand/logo animation" - these are probably my favourite motion design briefs to work on. The ideal brand animation captures and distills the essence of a brand or product into a short, simple animation, accompanied with a catchy jingle or audio hook to compliment the visual. Utilising brand animations to bookend an ad creative (usually as an brief outro) is a highly effective way to elevate the content, improving both brand recall and impact. With many platforms now having in-feed ads loop automatically, they also serve to mark the end of the ad's message and provide a strong branded call to action to those who stopped scrolling. I've had the pleasure of working on a number of these for various clients over the last few years, and it's always a fun and rewarding process - digging deep into the tone of voice, nature, target audience etc of the brand/product in order to create the most suitable and impactful creative animation, and then applying it to all of that client's future content. When combined with an "always-on" logo inside a branded container/graphic throughout an ad, outro animations are a great way to make a brand's presence stand out in our increasingly crowded (and competitive) social feeds. Here is a selection of some of my favourites from the last 3-4 years, for clients across various industries including iGaming, social gaming, lifestyle apps, veterinary products & more. Based on insights from the Graphic Designers Surveyed, a comprehensive book by Lucienne Roberts. ◘ Graphic design is young: 85% of respondents were under 40 ◘ Surprise! Men make more than women: In the UK men were six times as likely to earn more than £60k /year. ◘ It’s a bit of a boys' club: 48% of women thought that graphic design had a masculine culture ◘ Graphic designers work hard: 58% work more than 40 hours a week, and 78% say they worked more hours than they were paid for. ◘ It’s not great money: On average graphic designers made less than their partners and worked longer hours. ◘ But people in the industry are generally pretty happy: 55% said they're happy with their career, but 85% would recommend graphic design as a profession to a friend.

When it comes to graphic design, it's really important to know your onions. When I started out I didn't know my arse from my elbow when it came to design, but I was passionate enough to fill my hustle muscle with knowledge it needed. This 'know your onions' book on graphic design by @drewdesoto_knowyouronions is a fantastic place to start for any new designer trying to understand their craft, or business owner trying to get a better understand of the functions of their marketing team. This book is well worth the read and a great book to have in your arsenal, whether your brushing up on typography, colour, or you just need a size for a piece of collateral you haven't designed before. Knowledge is power, or if your KRS One, it regins supreme.
